The New Mexico School Elections Act appeared on the November 4, 2008 ballot in New Mexico. It was one of five proposed constitutional amendments the New Mexico Constitution that were legislatively-referred to the ballot by the New Mexico State Legislature.

The proposed amendment enacted the allowance of school elections to be held at the same time as nonpartisan elections.

Thirteen state senators introduced Senate Joint Resolution 4 (SJR 4) which authorized placing the proposed amendment on the ballot.
