The New Mexico Secretary of Workforce Solutions is an appointed state executive position in the New Mexico state government.

The Secretary heads the Department of Workforce Solutions, whose stated mission is to "Enhance productivity and competitiveness of New Mexico business and industry by improving the quality and availability of the New Mexico workforce."[1]

Current officeholder

The current officeholder is Celina Bussey. She was appointed by Gov. Susana Martinez in 2011.

Per Section 9-26-5 of the New Mexico Statutes, the Secretary is appointed by the governor with the consent of the senate. The secretary serves at the pleasure of the governor.[2]
