The 16th Congressional District of New York is a congressional district located in the Bronx. The district includes the neighborhoods of Bedford Park, East Tremont, Fordham, Hunts Point, Melrose, Highbridge, Morrisania, Mott Haven and University Heights.

The current representative of the 16th congressional district is Jose E. Serrano (D).

The 16th congressional district of New York held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent from the 17th district, Eliot Engel won election in the district.[1]

On November 2, 2010, Jose E. Serrano was re-elected to the United States House for an eleventh term. He defeated Frank Della Valle (R whom also ran on the Conservative Party ticket).[2]
