The 25th congressional district of New York will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 4, 2014.

New York has a closed primary system, in which the selection of a party's candidates in a primary election is limited to registered members of that party.

Heading into the election the incumbent is Louise Slaughter (D), who was first elected in 1986.

New York's 25th Congressional District is located in the western portion of the state and includes most of Monroe County.[1]
