The 28th Congressional District of New York is a congressional district in northwest New York. The district is based in Rochester, Buffalo, and Niagara Falls, and includes parts of Erie, Monroe, Niagara and Orleans counties.

The current representative of the 28th congressional district is Louise Slaughter (D).

The 28th congressional district will become obsolete for the 113th Congress in 2013 as congressional district lines get redrawn to accommodate the loss of the seat due to redistricting as a result of the 2010 Census.

2010

On November 2, 2010, Louise Slaughter was re-elected to the United States House for a thirteenth term. She defeated Jill A. Rowland (R also running on the Conservative Party ticket).[1]
