Nick Kahl was a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives. He represented District 49 from 2009 to 2011. Kahl is also Precinct Committee person/Recording Secretary of the Multnomah County Democratic Party.

Kahl's experience includes being a Staff Assistant for Multnomah County Commissioner Jeff Cogen and a teacher at the Serendipity Center. He is presently attending Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark.[1]

Kahl lost his re-election bid for the 49th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition but was defeated by Matthew Wand in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[2]
