Norman Solomon was a 2012 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 2nd Congressional District of California.

In February 2012, the grassroots organization Democracy for America, founded by Howard Dean, named Solomon one of the top 10 progressive candidates in the 2012 U.S. House races.[1]

Career

Solomon is an educator on media, politics, foreign policy and public affairs.[2] He is the co-founder of the media watchdog group Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting (FAIR).[2]

Solomon ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing California's 2nd District. He was defeated in the June 5, 2012, open primary.[3][4]
