The North Dakota Direct Democracy and Publicity Pamphlet Referendum, also known as Referendum 2, was on the November 4, 1958 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have increased the number of signatures required to qualify a ballot initiative in North Dakota for the ballot from 20,000 signatures to an amount of signatures equal to 10% of the vote cast for governor at the most recent state general election.[2]
