A North Dakota Fireworks Referendum may appear on the November 2, 2010 statewide ballot in North Dakota as a veto referendum. The proposed referendum calls for changing a recent state law that prohibits the sale and distribution of battle rockets. The state law was approved by the legislature in 2009 and went into effect in August 2009. Specifically the measure would allow bottle rocket sales to people older than 17 years old.[1]

According to reports, the petition was filed on May 11, 2010 and as of late May was approved for circulation.[2]
