A North Dakota Fireworks Referendum did not appear on the November 2, 2010 statewide ballot in North Dakota as a veto referendum. The proposed referendum called for changing a state law that prohibited the sale and distribution of bottle rockets. The state law was approved by the legislature in 2009 and went into effect in August 2009. Specifically, the measure would have allowed bottle rocket sales to people older than 17 years old.[1]

According to reports, the petition was filed on May 11, 2010 and as of late May was approved for circulation.[2]
