A Oceola Township Road Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Oceola, which is in Livingston County.

This measure sought to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for road maintenance and improvement costs in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the expired previous voted increases in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Oceola Township, of 1.5 mills ($1.50 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to .9932 mills ($.9932 per $1,000 of Taxable Value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed and levied for a period of five (5) years from 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for funding road maintenance, road improvements and dust control for the public roads of the Township of Oceola, Livingston County, Michigan, raising an estimated $426,525 the first year the millage is levied?[3]
