A Ogemaw County 911 Surcharge Increase measure was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in Ogemaw County, where it was approved.

This measure sought to increase the current 911 surcharge by a rate of $1 per phone line, making the total rate set at $1.59. The additional money would further help pay for 911 emergency services offered in the county.[1]

This measure was originally going to be on the February 2012 ballot but then was later removed from the ballot when the County learned that it would have had to pay $10,000 to place the measure on the ballot. The County noted that they dd not have that money and the cost was too high.[2]
