The 13th Congressional District of Ohio is a congressional district located in the northeast region of the state

Ohio's 13th Congressional District is located in the northern portion of the state and includes Summit, Portage, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.[1]

The district previously included an area bordering Lake Erie.

The current representative of the 13th congressional district is Tim Ryan (D).

The 13th congressional district of Ohio held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Incumbent from district 17, Tim Ryan, won the election.[2]

On November 2, 2010, Sutton won re-election to the United States House of Representatives. She defeated Tom Ganley in the general election.[3]

This is the 13th congressional district prior to the 2010 redistricting.

The Ohio State Legislature recently approved a new map of the Congressional districts based on updated population information from the 2010 census.[4] As a result, the current 13th district was eliminated. Thus, in 2012, Sutton will run in the 16th congressional district.[5]
