The 13th congressional district of Ohio will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 4, 2014.

Ohio is one of 21 states with a mixed primary system. Only affiliated voters can vote for candidates in the primary election; however, voters do not choose their affiliation until Election Day, when they request a party's ballot.[4]

Heading into the election the incumbent is Tim Ryan (D), who was first elected in 2002. Prior to redistricting due to the 2010 census, he served as the representative of Ohio's now defunct 17th congressional district.

Ohio's 13th Congressional District is located in the northern portion of the state and includes Summit, Portage, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.[5]

Note: Prior to the signature filing deadline, candidates will be added when Ballotpedia writers come across declared candidates.
