The 2nd Congressional District of Ohio is a congressional district that is located in the southwestern region of the state, and stretches along the Ohio River. It includes all of Adams, Brown, Pike, and Clermont counties. The 2nd district leans heavily Republican.

The current representative of the 2nd congressional district is Jean Schmidt (R).

The 2nd congressional district of Ohio will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012.


On November 2, 2010, Jean Schmidt (R) won re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, defeating Surya Yalamanchili (D) and Libertarian candidate Marc Johnston . [1]
