The 2nd congressional district of Ohio will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 4, 2014.

Ohio is one of 21 states with a mixed primary system. Only affiliated voters can vote for candidates in the primary election; however, voters do not choose their affiliation until Election Day, when they request a party's ballot.[4]

Heading into the election the incumbent is Brad Wenstrup (R), who was first elected in 2012.

Ohio's 2nd Congressional District is located in the southern portion of the state and includes Hamilton, Clermont, Brown, Highland, Adams, Scioto, Pike and Ross counties.[5]

The 2nd congressional district of Ohio held an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012. Republican Brad Wenstrup won the election in the district.[7]

On November 2, 2010, Jean Schmidt (R) won re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives, defeating Surya Yalamanchili (D) and Libertarian candidate Marc Johnston . [8]
