The
Ohio Lieutenant Governor is the second highest elected official in the U.S. state of
Ohio. The
lieutenant governor's primary responsibility is to preside over the
Ohio Senate. Additionally, the lieutenant governor is required to completed the duties assigned to him/her by the governor. The lieutenant governor becomes
governor if the governor resigns, dies in office or is removed by impeachment. Both the governor and the lieutenant governor are elected on a joint ticket.
