The 5th congressional district of Oklahoma will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012.

Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of April 13, 2012. The primary elections will be held on June 26, 2012.

The 5th district is located in the center of Oklahoma and includes parts of Oklahoma City. Heading into the election the incumbent is James Lankford (R), who has served since 2011.

This is the 3rd congressional district prior to the 2010 redistricting.

2010

On November 2, 2010, Lankford won election to the United States House of Representatives. He defeated Billy Coyle, Clark Duffe, and Dave White in the general election.[3]
