OKLAHOMA CITY,Oklahoma:Democratic Representative Curtis McDaniel has proposed a new bill that would ban texting while operating a moving motor vehicle, including reading, sending and composing text messages. Failure to comply with the law would result in fines up to $500.[1] The bill was passed by the House Transportation Committee and if the House Calender Committee approves it, the bill will go to the House.
