A Olive Township Fire Levy Renewal measure was on the February 28, 2012 ballot in the township of Olive which is in Ottawa County.

This measure sought to renew the current fire levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for fire and emergency services in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the expired previously voted increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Olive Township, of one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), be renewed at the originally voted one (1) mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) and levied for a period of four (4) years being 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 inclusive for Fire/Emergency Services in the township; raising an estimated $155,570.00 in the first year the millage is levied?[3]
