There was a Onsted School District Bond Measure on the May 4 ballot in Lenawee County for voters in the Onsted school district.

This measure was approved

  • YES 784 (53.30%) Approveda
  • NO 687 (46.70%) [1]

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $16,200,000 in order to help with furnishing, remodeling and equipping schools with updated technology in the district as well as making them more energy efficient.[2] $15 million of the proposed bond will come from interest free loans from the state, the rest will be a normal bond. School officials were hoping that voters approve the measures so they can take advantage of the stimulus money and get some needed repairs and renovations done at the schools. Residents will pay, on average, $119 in additional taxes a year if this bond measure is approved.[3]
