The Oregon PERS Pension Tax Exemption Repeal and Retiree Benefits Act, also known as Measure 3, was on the November 6, 1990 ballot in Oregon as a veto referendum, where it was defeated, thus overturning the legislation. The measure would have removed the state income tax exemption from benefits paid to the Public Employes Retirement System (PERS) and granted additional benefit payments to PERS retirees.[1]
