A Owosso City Transportation Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the city of Owosso, which is in Shiawassee County.

This measure sought to increase the current transportation levy to one set at a rate of $.08 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of five years in order to pay for fund the city's portion of the Shiawassee Area Transportation Agency services. It was approved.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the previously authorized millage for a public transit system be renewed and increased 0.08 mills ($0.08 per $1,000 of taxable value), for a total levy of up to 0.3333 mills ($0.33 per $1,000 of taxable value), annually for five (5) years beginning in 2013 and ending in 2017?[1][2]
