Parcel taxes for paramedic services in the Lucas Valley and San Rafael areas of Marin County, Measures E and F were on the
November 8, 2011 ballot for voters in Lucas Valley (Measure E) and a collection of non-contiguous neighborhoods in the San Rafael area in
Marin County. Both measures were
approved.[1]
Measure E
Measure E is a special tax that pays for paramedic services in the Lucas Valley area of Marin County. Due to its approval, the tax (which pre-existed) will be continued and increased from $85/year to a maximum of $95/year for each residential unit. The tax for non-residential buildings will increase from 11 cents to 13.2 cents per square foot. The increases will be phased in over four years.[2]
A 2/3rds supermajority vote was required for passage.[1]
