Parker Griffith (b. August 6, 1942) was a 2012 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 5th Congressional District of Alabama. He formerly served in the Alabama State Senate and U.S. House.

Biography

Griffith earned his BS from Louisiana State University in 1970. He went on to receive his MD from Louisiana State University Medical School. He formerly served in the United States Army Reserves in the Medical Unit. He has worked as a math teacher, radiation oncologist, and businessman, but he is now retired.

Griffith ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Alabama's 5th District. He was defeated by incumbent Mo Brooks in the Republican primary on March 13.
