Pat Bomhack is a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 17 of the Wisconsin State Senate.[1] Bomhack ran against Ernie Wittwer in the August 12, 2014 Democratic primary for the District 17 seat in the Wisconsin State Senate. Final vote totals showed Wittwer with a two vote lead over Bomhack. The close results caused the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board to order a recount in the race.[2]

Bomhack was also a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 51 of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Elections for 17 seats in the Wisconsin State Senate will take place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 12, 2014. The general election will be held on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Bomhack was declared the winner of the District 17 contest on August 29 after a recount. Howard Marklein was unopposed in the Republican primary.[4][5][1]
