Willis won election in the special election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 95. The seat was vacant following Jessica Upshaw's (R) death on March 24. Willis defeated Tommy Ballard, Sherri Carr Bevis and Grant Bower in the special election which took place on May 28, 2013.[1][2][3]
