McManus is running in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 80. He is running unopposed in the Conservative primary on September 13, 2012. Incumbent Naomi Rivera (who is also running on the Working Families Party ticket) was defeated by Mark Gjonaj in the Democratic primary. Nicole J. Torres ran unopposed in the Republican primary. William Edstrom ran unopposed in the Green Party primary. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [1][2]
