Patrick Calder is a 2012 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 1st Congressional District of Maine.


Calder was raised in Eastport, Maine and attended Shead High School, graduating in 2000. He attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy, graduating with a B.S. in Marine Engineering in 2004.[1]


Calder is a merchant mariner and marine engineer.[1] He is a member of the Marine Engineer’s Beneficial Association (MEBA) and is currently employed as the First Engineer on the world’s only American-flagged cruise ship, the Pride of America operated by Norwegian Cruise Lines.[1]

Calder is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Maine's 1st District. Calder is seeking the nomination on the Republican ticket.[2][3] The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run is March 15, 2012. The primary elections will be held on June 12, 2012.
