Campaign themes

2012

Anderson's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

Economy: "...The experiences that I have had running a business, hiring employees, meeting payroll, paying taxes and consulting with businesses across the whole spectrum of the economy has given me an insight and understanding of what businesses need to succeed that I will take with me to the legislature."

Education: "We will never be able to diversify our economy if we do not improve the performance of our schools. Parents need more choice in their children’s education, good teachers need to be supported and rewarded, and everyone involved needs to be accountable for the results we get from the tax dollars we spend...."

Government reform: "Our budgeting process is broken. Why would we allow our state budget to grow each year even if our costs and population do not? We need to look at what we have to spend then set our priorities, spend and invest where our communities can get the most benefit...."
