Paul Gilbert is a Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 87 since 2008.

Gilbert is retired. He previously worked as a Job Service Manager with the Maine Department of Labor, and served in the United States Army.

Gilbert is a volunteer with the Senior Plus Western Maine Area Agency on Aging and the Literacy Volunteers of America. He is a member of the Friends Together Board, Maine Council of Senior Citizens, and the Maine State Employees Association/Service Employees International Union (MSEA/SEIU) Local 1989.[1]

Gilbert won re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 87. Gilbert replaced the previous Democratic candidate, Daniel DiPompo, who withdrew after the primary and defeated Clinton Brooks (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012. [2]
