Paul Greenawalt was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 43 of the Michigan House of Representatives. He unsuccessfully ran for the same seat in 2008.

Greenawalt is a former member of the US Taxpayers Party of Michigan, for which he served as 2nd Vice Chairman[1][2] from 2010 - 2011, a volunteer position with no pay. Greenawalt was elected as the Republican Precinct Delegate in the City of Pontiac in the year of 2006.

He has stated that he will likely run for office again in 2014.

Greenawalt ran in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 43. He was defeated by incumbent Gail Haines in the Republican primary on August 7.[3][4]

'In the Republican Primary race for State Representative in 2012 he acquired 29% of the vote or 2757 votes with almost no resources or endorsements. Endorsements are usually not offered to challengers of incumbents in a race.' Mr Greenawalt used door to door campaigns and social media outlets to get out his unique message.

Mr Greenawalt filed for election in Michigan under the $1000.00 dollar waiver in 2012. He did not spend or receive more than $1000.00. (way less than that actually) In the 2014 race he is accepting political donations.

Greenawalt and his wife Bonita have two children, and attend Church in Waterford. He is a former Christian rapper and musician who was in a band.[1]He is currently building a church called The Third Story a Ministry church for outreach of Scott Lake Baptist church in Waterford.

Mr Greenawalt is a college graduate and attends Louisiana Baptist University to finish his Bachelor's of Communications.
