Paul Poirier (b. September 30, 1948) is an independent member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Washington-3-1.

Poirier served as Assistant House Leader in the Vermont State House of Representatives from 1983 to 1984. He then served as Minority Leader from 1985 to 1986 and Majority Leader from 1987 to 1988. He then joined the Barre City Council in 1990 and has served in that position since. In 2000, Poirier was a candidate for the Vermont State Senate but was not elected. He then rejoined the Vermont House in 2009 and has served in that position since. He represents the Washington-3-1 District.

Poirier is the Manager of Community Relations for Green Mountain Power.

Poirier earned his BS from Norwich University in 1970. He went on to receive his MEd in History/Government from Norwich in 1974.
