Illinois' 12th Congressional District was a battleground district in 2014 due to the fact that the district has nearly even numbers of registered Democratic and Republican voters. Both incumbent William Enyart (D) and Mike Bost (R) advanced through their primaries with no challenge. They will face off in the general election on November 4, 2014, along with Green Party candidate Paula Bradshaw.[4]
