There will be a Pewaukee City and Village Merger Referendum on the April ballot in Waukesha County for voters in the city and village of Pewaukee.

This proposed merger would add the village to the city, merging the two communities. This merger discussion has been going on for the better part of 40 years, the main drive being the significant cost cutting that could occur if it happened. The city and village have set up a committee to help plan out the merger, ensuring that a proposed plan will work for both communities and will ensure a positive vote by residents. The main goal though is to get the issue to a vote so the people can choose.[1]
