A Polkton Township Road Levy Renewal measure is on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Polkton, which is in Ottawa County.

This measure seeks to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $2 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for road improvement costs in the township.[1]

Shall the expired, previously-approved increase in the Charter Township of Polkton tax rate limitation, currently 1.9972 mills ($1.9972 per $1,000 of taxable value), be renewed and levied in the years 2012-2015, both inclusive, and shall an additional 0.0028 mill ($0.0028 per $1,000 of taxable value) be approved and levied in the years 2012-2015, both inclusive to restore previous millage reductions under the “ Headlee Amendment “ since this millage was last approved, resulting in the continued levy of 2.0 mills ($2.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), subject to reduction as provided by law, on taxable property in the Township?
