Four Portage City Charter Amendment measures were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the city of Portage, which is in Kalamazoo County.

All four measures were approved

The first measure will allow the Tax Board of Review to be able to change the number of members, from the current 3 to either 6 or 9 at its discretion.

  • YES 7,970 (56.8%)Approveda
  • NO 6,061 (43.2%)

The second measures sought to allow the training of board members as allowed for by the city council.

  • YES 9,389 (67.3%)Approveda
  • NO 4,414 (32.7%)

The third measures will make it so that board members had one year terms instead of the current three years.

  • YES 7,414 (53.7%)Approveda
  • NO 6,392 (46.3%)

The fourth measures sought to allow the appointment of two alternates to the board.[1]
