OKLAHOMA CITY,Oklahoma: Republican Senator Jim Inhofe and Republican Representative Frank Lucas want to limit how much ammunition the federal government can stockpile, amid constituents frustrations over the lack of available ammunition for their personal use.[1]

The bill would limit all federal departments, minus the Defense department, from buying more ammunition than the monthly average the department bought in 2009. The Government Accountability Board would also have to issue a report on how the federal purchases affect the supply available to the public, in order to prevent ammunition shortages.[1]
