Ralph Chapman is a Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 37 since 2010. Chapman ran in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 37.

Chapman has taught elementary and graduate level classes, and currently provides training in advanced building science for the energy efficient residential construction industry. He has also performed solar energy-related research at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory, and at Tufts Electro-Optics Technology Center.

Chapman holds a BS in Applied Physics from Tufts University.

Chapman won re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 37. Chapman defeated James Schatz in the June 12 Democratic primary and defeated Madeline Leach (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
