Redford Township Levy Increase Proposal (November 2012)
If approved, this proposal authorizes the Township of Redford to increase property taxes by up to 1.375 mills ($1.375 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 12 years in order to fund parks and recreation programs, senior citizen programs and youth programs. The estimated first year revenue from this tax increase is $1,100,000.

|“||Shall the CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF REDFORD be authorized to impose an increase of up to 1.375 mills (1.375 per $1,000 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for 12 years, 2012 through 2023 for parks and recreation, senior citizen, and youth programs and operations which mills increase will raise an estimated $1,100,000 in the first year the millage is levied? (For example, a property owner with a taxable value of $30,000 would pay an additional $41.25 each year.)||”|
