From Ballotpedia
Revision as of 18:32, 21 March 2011 by Leslie Graves (Talk | contribs)
The Revisor of Statutes is an office that drafts legislation for the Legislature’s consideration and prepares and publishes replacement volumes of the statutes and supplements. It also reports to the Legislative Council any defects found in state statutes or the State Constitution and drafts proposed legislation to correct these defects.
The Revisor of Statutes is often a critical role in drafting the final ballot language of an initiative and is used in Nebraska and Maine.
