{{tnr}}The '''Rhinelander Schools Construction and New Pool referendum''' is a school [[bond issue]] on the September 9, 2008 ballot in the School District of Rhinelander, and [[Oneida County, Wisconsin ballot measures|Oneida]], [[Lincoln County, Wisconsin ballot measures|Lincoln]] and [[Langlade County, Wisconsin ballot measures|Langlade]] counties, [[Wisconsin]]. The purpose of the referendum is to issue debt in the amount of '''$23,350,000''', with the funds going to school funds. The additional funds would be used to renovate multiple schools in the district, build a new multi-purpose facility, build a new swimming pool, and purchase the related equipment for these various ventures.

A related measure is the [[Rhinelander Building Costs Referendum (2008)|Rhinelander Building Costs Referendum]], meant to provide the funds needed to maintain the proposed new construction.

After being defeated at the September election the measure returned to the ballot for November, where it was again defeated.

Be it resolved by the School Board of the School District of Rhinelander, Oneida, Lincoln and Langlade Counties, Wisconsin that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $23,350,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of remodeling, renovating, improving and/or adding to Central, Crescent and Pelican Elementary Schools, James Williams Middle School, and Rhinelander High School; constructing a new multi-purpose facility; constructing a new pool; and acquiring and installing related equipment, furniture and fixtures.
