Rhoda Jacobs is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. She has represented District 42 since 1979. Jacobs is presently the Assistant Speaker of the Assembly. Her previous political experiences include assistant speaker pro tempore for the New York State Assembly and chairperson of the Majority Program Committee, New York State Assembly.

Jacobs earned a BA and MA from Brooklyn College. She and her husband, Jerome, have three children.[1]




On November 4, 2008 Jacobs won re-election to the New York State Assembly, District 42, defeating opponent Alan Kesler (R).

Jacobs raised $56,493 for his campaign while Kesler raised $0.[2]
