Richard Bennett (b. June 25, 1957) is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He has represented the 120th District since 2008.

Bennett is retired. He worked at Dupont and was educated at the University of Southern Mississippi and Gulf Coast Junior College.

He is a member of the Foreign Trade Zone, Gulf Coast Council of Governments, Hazard Mitigation Council, and Long Beach Drug Task Force.[1]

Bennett is running in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 120. He ran unopposed in the primary on August 2, 2011. Democratic candidate Charles Boggs ran unopposed in the August 2 Democratic primary. The general election takes place on November 8, 2011. [2]

On November 6, 2007 Bennett was elected in District 120, defeating Democratic challenger Ed Hatem in the general election.[3] He defeated Glenn Mitchell and Sam Holston in the primary election with 1,654 votes to 777 and 394 votes, respectively.[4]
