Richard Orloski was a Democratic candidate for District 16 of the Pennsylvania State Senate. The primary election was on May 18, 2010 and the general election was on November 2.

Orloski was unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary and faced incumbent Republican Pat Browne in the November 2 general election.

Orloski's campaign website lists four issues:[1]

  • End Per Diems
  • Reform legislature Orloski will work to "reduce the size of the Legislature from 253 legislators to 120, or 40 State Senators and 80 State House members. "
  • Medical school for Valley "It is time to fight for a medical school here in the Lehigh Valley, and I intend to start the fight now."
  • Marcellus Shale "I will support extending the regulatory power of the Department of Environmental Protection to insure that our environment is not ravaged, that a "fair" severance tax be impose, that "forced pooling" be verboten and that the industry will not be clothed with the right of eminent domain."
