Richard Stuart has been a Republican member of the Virginia Senate since 2008, representing the 28th district.

Stuart received a B.A. at Virginia Wesleyan College and a J.D. at T.C. Williams School of Law.

In addition to serving as senator Stuart works as an attorney at law.

Stuart was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia on January 6, 1964.
