Richard Stuart has been a Republican member of the Virginia State Senate since 2008, representing the 28th district.

Stuart received a B.A. at Virginia Wesleyan College and a J.D. at T.C. Williams School of Law.

In addition to serving as senator Stuart works as an attorney at law.

Stuart is running for re-election to the District 28 seat of the Virginia State Senate. He is unopposed in the August 23 primary and the November 8 general election.

2007

On Nov. 6, 2007, Stuart won election to the 28th District Seat in the Virginia State Senate, defeating opponent Albert Pollard (D).[1]

Stuart raised $1,139,583 for his campaign while Pollard raised $1,215,127.[2]
