Rick Saffery was a Republican candidate for District 45 of the Maryland House of Delegates. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2.

Saffery and Larry Wardlow (R) both advanced past the Republican primary on September 14, 2010. In the general election, they faced Democrats Talmadge Branch (incumbent), Cheryl Glenn (incumbent]] and Hattie Harrison (incumbent). Ronald Owens-Bey ran as a Libertarian.

Saffery lost in the general election on November 2, 2010, coming in fourth. Three seats were available in the district.[1]
