A Riga Township Fire Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Riga, which is in Lenawee County.

This measure sought to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further two years in order to continue to pay for fire department operational costs costs in the township.[2]

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Riga Township of 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) be renewed and levied for two years, 2012 through 2013 inclusive, for operating the Fire Department, raising an estimated $66,034 in the first year the millage is levied?
