Elections for the office of Wisconsin State Assembly will consist of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature-filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Incumbent Rob Swearingen is unopposed in the Republican primary. Gerald Anderson (D) and Merlin Van Buren (D) were removed from the ballot before the primary.[1][2]

Swearingen won election in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 34. He defeated Alex Young in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012. Swearingen defeated Democratic primary winner Merlin Van Buren in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
